RACE 4: SPARTIANOS (5-2) returns on short rest but placed gamely after rushing to contention following tardy break last Sunday now picks up Carmouche for Pino, 22% and profitable with his 2YOs. Main dangers are newcomers SUNSHINE MARK (8-1) for 18% juvenile barn and mare is perfect 7-for-7. GODSPEED TOMMY (4-1) debuts off series of fast marks and his mom is 6-for-7 in the breeding shed including a stakes winner.

RACE 5: Two horse affair on paper between MR. BEER GOGGLES (5-1) and BOOGIE TOO (5-2). The former returns to sprint in second start off the claim, profitably with new acquisitions; ultimate Horse for Course owning (9) 6-1-1 slate in Bensalem. ‘Boogie’ owns our fastest Energy Ratings, goes for top connections and another Parx lover: (8) 3-3-0 here and 3-for-15 everywhere else. COWBOY PRINCE (7-2) exits key race with 3 wins from 3 next-out runners; for exotics.

RACE 6: Wide open scramble: BUDDY’S SMART (10-1) showed marked improvement when dropped to this level first time off the Moore claim; dynamics suit and 7-pound bug Ryall on the re-ride. QUIET DANGER (12-1) drops from open $7,500 to restricted NW3L condition for barn that’s very productive going turf to dirt.

RACE 7: First of two stakes for South Carolina refugees (check out the conditions) and this one is interesting and open. PATTITUDE (8-1) makes first start for barn that’s 30% efficient with new trainees and filly enters this off recent New Pace Top; sharp recent blowout before shipping in from CD. SALUDA (5-1) in from NY for Dilger barn, who’s profitable in all relevant categories including shippers and maiden fits well with these. KAWFEE FA MARFA (4-1) has ascending Energy Ratings from two starts, both in stakes and one on turf; returns with good spacing for Violette and has trained very well at Aqueduct for this.

RACE 8: NASA (3-1) broke maiden by nearly 10 vs. opens at Laurel going 7F after getting first-Lasix; working very well for Smarty Jones’ connections and retains regular rider Carmouche, looming day’s safest risk. KENSINGTON KID (6-1) won first start following claim by crafty outfit and DUFF (4-1) stakes experience and enters this off good-figure bounce-rebound pattern; pointed since Sept. 25.

RACE 9: EL OH EL (3-1), popular at claim box, has never taken a backward step on the Energy scale since being claimed by Navarro in August, now goes first out for Auwarter, 22% profitable off the claim and 2-for-4 with two-class risers; very solid and goes first-time Frankie Pennington. Exotics price shots: P.A. THUNDER (12-1) drops, retains 7-pound apprentice and entered bottom dollar--more weight off. Specialist is 2-for-5 at 7F, 2-for-26 doing anything else. I’LL RUN THE SHOW (15-1) owns good, consistent Energy Ratings, likes this course and a winner at this trip; barn profitable this season and nicely drawn outside.

SUGGESTED PLAY: 2 with 1.4 with 2.5 with 3.6.8 with 3 with 3---$24
